Our Ffern Artist for Autumn 26 is Jackie Morris. Based in Wales, she is the renowned illustrator of The Lost Words. 

Jackie Morris

Jackie Morris is the celebrated illustrator of The Lost Words and The Lost Spells, created with Robert Macfarlane, alongside many other award-winning books - most recently The Book of Birds. She lives and works on the wild coast of Pembrokeshire, west Wales.

For Autumn 26, Jackie has created Shape Shifter in her signature watercolours. A wash of twilit heather moor falls away beneath a hare’s running feet - while above sail a goshawk and a great Harvest Moon.

Autumn 26 is a moonlit fragrance of heather and moor, our interpretation of a classic fougère fragrance. Two varieties of honeyed, herbaceous lavender speak of the wild herbs that grow among the heather, while a braid of powdery orris and violet leaf weaves through the heart. Hay and immortelle root our fragrance to the soil, binding our aromatic notes to the mossy earth.
