Unsere Ffern-Künstlerin für Herbst 26 ist Jackie Morris. Sie lebt in Wales und ist die renommierte Illustratorin von The Lost Words.

Jackie Morris ist die gefeierte Illustratorin von The Lost Words und The Lost Spells, die gemeinsam mit Robert Macfarlane entstanden, sowie zahlreicher weiterer preisgekrönter Bücher – zuletzt The Book of Birds. Sie lebt und arbeitet an der wilden Küste von Pembrokeshire im Westen von Wales.

Für Herbst 26 hat Jackie Shape Shifter in ihren charakteristischen Aquarellfarben geschaffen. Ein Zwielicht über blühendem Heidemoor breitet sich unter den laufenden Pfoten eines Hasen aus – während darüber ein Habicht und ein großer Erntemond ziehen.

Autumn 26 ist ein mondbeschienener Duft aus Heidekraut und Moor, unsere Interpretation eines klassischen Fougère. Zwei Sorten honigsüßen, krautigen Lavendels erzählen von den wilden Kräutern, die zwischen dem Heidekraut wachsen, während sich ein Geflecht aus pudriger Iriswurzel und Veilchenblatt durch das Herz zieht. Heu und Immortelle verwurzeln unseren Duft im Boden und binden die aromatischen Noten an die moosige Erde.

To begin our artist series, we asked Lauren Emily Wilson to respond to Autumn 20. The result is an ethereal family of pastel drawings that capture the evolution of a scent.

Autumn 20 aims to recreate petrichor - the scent of the earth after rain. A rich fragrance, it centres rose against spicy notes of olibanum and black pepper and herbaceuous notes such as bay, davana and patchouli.
