Jackie Morris
Jackie Morris is the celebrated illustrator of The Lost Words and The Lost Spells, created with Robert Macfarlane, alongside many other award-winning books - most recently The Book of Birds.
For Autumn 26, Jackie has created Shape Shifter in her signature watercolours. A wash of twilit heather moor falls away beneath a hare’s running feet - while above sail a goshawk and a great Harvest Moon.
We visited Jackie at home on the wild Pembrokeshire coast, to be entranced by her studio and wise reflections on art and life, revealing an artistic practice rooted in her deep belief that we are not separate from nature, but part of it.
In this short film, she introduces her beautiful painting, Shape Shifter - a printed poster of which arrives with each bottle of Autumn 26.
