Ffern x Horatio’s Garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show
May 2026, Ffern is partnering with Horatio’s Garden for RHS Chelsea Flower Show, creating an installation that celebrates the restorative power of scent. Designed by world-renowned floral artists, Frida Kim and Wagner Kreusch, An Exhibition of Hope is composed of British grown irises in a panoply of shell pinks, apricots, velvety indigos, onyx and ambers. Drawing on ancient Greek mythology and Victorian floriography, the exhibition references the iris’s history as a symbol of courage, wisdom, faith and hope. Accompanied by sculptures inspired by Ffern’s Summer 26 scent, the exhibition also includes a dramatic wheat wall. Created through hand-stitching, it captures the movement of wind rustling through wheat fields.

Horatio’s Garden is a charity that creates beautiful, expertly staffed gardens for people with life-altering spinal injuries. Sitting beside the clinical starkness of NHS rehabilitation centres, these gardens awaken our senses and provide much needed time for reflection and adjustment, privacy and solace, and even joy and companionship.
Visitors who sign up to become a Friend of Horatio’s Garden will receive a coveted Pocket Edition of Ffern’s Summer 26 fragrance, a heady floral fragrance.
“We all know how when you come into a garden, smell is so important. Freshly mown grass, roses, irises and sweet peas all have a different scent that triggers intense deep-seated emotions. Science shows how much that then impacts mood. Patients with spinal injuries tell us how critical scent is to how they experience our gardens which is why we are so delighted to partner with Ffern.”

Frida Kim is a Korean artist and designer whose work focuses on the relationship between nature, culture, and impermanence. Through installations, performances, and collaborations, she explores how ephemeral materials can create spaces of memory, ritual, and transformation.
Wagner Kreusch is a Brazilian floral artist and educator, trained at the Sogetsu School of Ikebana under Mr. Shigeo Suga. Co-founder of London Flower School, his practice emphasises floristry as an art form and explores its potential for healing and environmental awareness.
All the irises in this exhibition are British-grown. Falls & Standards is the bearded iris collection grown by floral designers Vervain. Founders India and Christopher grow over 300 varieties at their studio in Worcestershire.
Iris of Sissinghurst, a specialist nursery run by Sue Marshall, has been breeding high-quality irises for over 30 years. Treea Cracknell, The London Flower Farmer, aims to provide seasonal, fresh blooms with the lightest impact on the environment. Alma Proust is a seed-focused flower farm and design studio run by farmer florists Milli Proust and Paris Alma.
