An English greenhouse, using all parts of the bitter orange tree
A spring morning. The air is mild and a gentle wind has lifted the sunlit haze of dawn. Clouds form, only to break against the blue. Boughs of blossom reach over the doorway to the greenhouse, quietly dropping their pink-white petals. Inside beckons, smelling of fresh soil, warm earth and new, green shoots.
Inspired by the scents of a springtime greenhouse, this season’s top notes include ginger and petitgrain, progressing to mid notes of basil and neroli and ending with base notes of orange flower and vetiver.

Each season, we invite a new artist we admire to respond to our latest fragrance.
As part of the Ffern Artists series, we have worked with the natural-dye artist Daisy Gray to create silk handkerchiefs. The handkerchiefs are handwoven from ethical silk by a co-operative of artisans in West Bengal, India and hand-dyed by Daisy using walnut leaves, madder root and goldenrod. Daisy chose these colours as a reflection of an English greenhouse.
