Verdant midsummer, and the deeper notes of the season’s end
It is late summer and the edge of evening. Fields flecked with gold stretch out towards the horizon. The heat of the day rises up from the parched earth; a warm breath against the paling blue of the wide, cloudless sky.
Summer 21 evokes the mellow haze of a late summer’s evening, combining greener echoes of a verdant midsummer with the drier, deeper notes of the season’s end.

Sparkling vetiver, nutmeg and hay
Each season, we invite a new artist we admire to respond to our latest fragrance.
To mark the summer solstice, we commissioned artist Nicola Yeoman to create a sculpture from natural materials. The result is an 8 foot high wooden structure, crowned with an orb made from hay – an ingredient used in Summer 21 for the first time. Into the hay, Nicola wove ribbons, flowers and feathers. On a summer evening in early June, we set it alight.
