Our coffee beans are grown in Colombia’s Coffee Axis, or Eje Cafetero, where heavy rain allows for prolonged harvest periods and rich volcanic soils nourish the plants. The region’s steep, dramatic slopes make mechanized farming impossible, so cultivation relies entirely on skilled hands. This manual approach protects the integrity of each batch, selecting only the highest quality bean.
After harvesting, our coffee beans are roasted and steam distilled, in the process, developing their natural sugars and giving the essential oil a rich and nutty character. In perfumery, roasting the coffee bean allows the essential oil to linger longer, anchoring the lighter, more fleeting ingredients.
