Rose water is a beautiful ingredient with a long history. Made most simply by steeping rose petals in water, it can also be obtained as a byproduct of rose essential oil production (much like orange flower water is a byproduct of neroli extraction) or by dispersing rose absolute into water. Our rose water is made from blowsy, bright pink Damask roses; named for Damascus, these roses have held a special place in Ottoman culture for many centuries, flavouring treats like Turkish Delight and offered to guests of the Sultans.
