We grow our violets in the nutrient-rich soils of the Nile Valley, Egypt, where the harvesting process is steeped in tradition, and tied to the region’s unique agricultural practices. From December to May, skilled local harvesters gather the leaves by hand, starting at dawn to protect their delicate fragrance from the harsh midday sun. The freshly harvested leaves are then transformed through Joseph Robert's renowned solvent extraction method, yielding a rich, dark green liquid known as violet leaf absolute—a concentrated essence of their verdant aroma.
