Handmade in earthenware terracotta clay with cream slip and sgraffito detailing, this ceramic platter was made by sisters Liv and Dom Cave-Sutherland in Lewes, East Sussex. Inspired by the enamel artwork Liv and Dom created for the Autumn 26 Perfumer's Candle, ‘A Leap Through the Briar’, depicts a leaping hare amid autumn's abundant foliage. Made exclusively for Ffern, in a limited run of four.
Liv and Dom are ceramicists, artists, and identical twins based in Lewes, UK. Their playful, decorative ceramics draw inspiration from antiques, folk art, and traditional craft. Rooted in their life in rural Sussex, their work celebrates ornament, storytelling, and the enduring charm of handmade objects.
For Autumn 26, we have bottled a moonlit moor. With the smudged, spacious quality of twilight, this lunar fragrance shimmers with lavender, iris and violet leaf. Warmer notes of tonka and immortelle capture the honeyed scent of heather - a hare’s-eye view.
