Description
Boya oud is taken from the heartwood, or agarwood, of an afflicted aquilaria tree. The older the tree, the richer the oil. Our oud comes from 25-year-old aquilaria trees grown in Assam, India, and undergoes a 65-day extraction process. The odour of agarwood is complex and earthy, possessing very few natural analogues. Perhaps because of this, oud and its essential oil have garnered great cultural and religious significance in ancient civilisations around the world.
