Description
Our Chinese weeping cypress is grown and harvested in its native China, where it’s known as ‘mourning cypress’ for its long, pendulous branches and traditional planting in temple courtyards and cemeteries.
The essential oil is distilled from the bark, and is dry, smoky and unmistakably woody. Much like true cedarwoods, the oil is prized as a grounding base note, sharing classic woody notes of red cedar but with a distinctive tonal character unique to the species.
