The clementine is a late 19th-century citrus hybrid, born from the crossing of a willowleaf mandarin and a sweet orange. Ours are grown on the French island of Corsica, where the fruit holds a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) - a mark of quality that ties its character directly to the island’s soil, climate, and agricultural tradition. The result is a traceable, story-rich ingredient of exceptional provenance.
Produced in partnership with a Corsican cooperative, every batch can be traced back to a specific plot of land. Over 70 growers are supported through a direct model that removes intermediaries, ensuring fair remuneration and a closer connection between producer and product.
The essential oil is extracted by cold expression of the outer peel, preserving the fruit’s vivid, natural aroma. Small, juicy, and delicately balanced, this fragrant oil offers both sweetness and tang.
