Our Scots pine needle comes from the volcanic hills of Auvergne, in central France, along the continent’s largest continuous group of dormant volcanoes. It is one of France's most mountainous regions, characterised by volcanic peaks, high plateaux, deep valleys and extensive forests.
Harvesters traditionally gather small branches and blue-green needles left behind from timber harvesting. The needles are then transformed into an absolute through solvent extraction, yielding a scent that celebrates the living forest - piney, woody and with a peppery edge.
