Layering organic forms with details from mythology, the circular tondo composition echoes seasonal cycles and nature’s continuity. About the artist
Collette LaVette
Colette LaVette is contemporary painter based in Northamptonshire, whose work is deeply informed by the natural world and mythology. Using natural paint, her organic forms emerge from expressionist mark making in compositions that recall Rococo and Renaissance masters.
The fragrance
Spring 26 was created in partnership with Knepp Wilding - capturing the heady tangle of green and white that crowns the rewilded land in spring. Petitgrain and timut pepper evoke the luminous dawn, while broom and tuberose call up clouds of blossom. For the wild meadows we paired valerian and elemi.
