We are standing by a sun-dazzled estuary, looking out across the water meadows. The shallows are shining silver and the ancient woodlands that run down to the water’s edge are scorched with gold.
Autumn 21 is a journey through scent to a singular moment: a September afternoon by the water meadows of Ruan Lanihorne, just inland from the coast in Cornwall. Sylvan notes of oakmoss form a base for a lighter marine accord of cardamom, lemon and seaweed.

Each season, we invite a new artist we admire to respond to our latest fragrance.
Phoebe Cummings works with raw clay to produce ephemeral pieces that reflect the passage of time. For Autumn 21, we asked her to respond to the same place that inspired this fragrance – Ruan Lanihorne, Cornwall. Phoebe's sculpture echoes the abundant water that runs through this landscape.
